The Real History of Haiti Film

Dr. Eva M. Doyle has produced a film. entitled The Real History of Haiti.

It will be shown on  Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Frank E. Merriweather Library located at 1324 Jefferson Avenue Buffalo, NY.

The film will be shown in the Dr. Eva M. Doyle auditorium.

Dr. Doyle wrote, researched, and developed an 8-part series of articles on the country of Haiti which she converted into this film. The film gives the history of Haiti and its liberators such as Toussaint L’Overture and General Dessalines.

It shows how the European invaders stripped Haiti of its natural resources and left the country in poverty. It also shows how the Haitian leaders defeated the French General Napoleon.

This is part of the hidden history of Haiti and is appropriate for the entire family.

 

Admission is free and it is open to the public.

It will be shown again during Black History Month in February, 2025 during the 46th Anniversary of the Eye On History Column.
